David Byrne announces his second Scottish gig of 2018

Ahead of his eagerly-anticipated visit to Glasgow this Friday, David Byrne has announced another series of tour dates that see the Talking Heads legend return to Scotland in October.

Dumbarton-born Byrne, who is due to play at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall on Friday (15 June), will visit the SSE Hydro on 22 October.

The 66-year-old icon is touring in support of his acclaimed latest album, American Utopia.

He will also play gigs in Leeds, Dublin, Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Brighton and Manchester in October and November.

“We’ll be doing some new songs, and many others that will, I assume, be familiar,” said Byrne on his current production.

“I’m excited. This is the most ambitious show I’ve done since the shows that were filmed for Stop Making Sense, so fingers crossed.”
