Los Angeles quartet Dawes have announced a UK and European tour with performances in cities including Glasgow, London, Manchester, Barcelona and Berlin.
Fresh off their extensive North American tour supporting their latest record, Passwords, the band’s highly anticipated live return will find them performing hits and fan favorites from their catalogue for a live show that Gigwise says evokes “The Grateful Dead, and the abrasive guitar interplay of Crazy Horse at their indomitable best.”
Tickets for this tour will go on sale on Friday, June 28th at 10am.
In the decade since Dawes first emerged from Southern California, the band, consisting of guitarist/singer Taylor Goldsmith, drummer Griffin Goldsmith, bassist Wylie Gelber, and keyboardist Lee Pardini, has evolved and electrified, developing into a forward-thinking, boundary-pushing band for the 21st century.
The band has released six critically acclaimed albums, North Hills (2009), Nothing Is Wrong (2011), Stories Don’t End (2013), All Your Favorite Bands (2015), We’re All Gonna Die (2016), and Passwords (2018), which have made them beloved by both their fans and their peers.
Dawes has shared the stage with Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Jeff Lynne’s ELO, Jackson Browne, Mumford & Sons, Conor Oberst, My Morning Jacket, John Mayer, and Kings of Leon, among many others.
