Get ready for Casey Lowry to steal your heart with his infectious “California Brunch Pop” tunes when he visits Edinburgh’s Sneaky Pete’s on Wednesday, 7 February.
At the young age of 19, Casey had already been featured as Radio One’s Artist of the Week and sold out some of the UK’s largest and most well known venues, all before releasing his first single.
He has been invited to play with The Hunna, The Sherlocks and Coasts on tour, attracting a legion of fans along the way. And it’s only the beginning.
His Radio One playlisted debut single, Trampoline, achieved massive success in its first few weeks of release, charting at No.2 on Spotify’s UK Viral 50 charts and gaining over 500,000 streams since release.
AAA caught up with Casey for a quick chat ahead of his visit to Edinburgh.
My favourite film has got be Ender’s Game. It’s about a boy that destroys the world by playing a game, but then he feels guilty and saves it – he’s a total legend.
Kendall Jenner, she’s incredible.
Tourist History – Two Door Cinema Club. It is just banger after banger and it deserves a place in history. Looking at this question in relation to the last one, it’s making me think I misunderstood it…but I’m still going to stick with Kendall as she is puck.
My favourite gig has got to be Live at Leeds. I played there with my band in 2017 for the very first time and I had no idea what to expect. I’d never played Leeds before and it was absolutely rammed. People were singing the words to my songs and doing cute little dances – it just really vibed.
Of Mice and Men – I’ll be honest I’m not a big reader, but this was what I had to read for my GCSE English course and it was madness. Spoiler George kills Lenny.
