Iggy Pop tops Rough Trade’s ‘100 Best Albums’ list

Iconic record shop Rough Trade have shared their top 100 best albums of 2016, with Iggy Pop coming out on top with Post Pop Depression, followed by Anderson .Paak (Malibu) and Margo Price (Midwest Farmer’s Daughter).

Mark Pritchard, with Under The Sun, and Charles Bradley’s Changes make up the top five.

The likes of David Bowie (Blackstar), Radiohead (A Moon Shaped Pool) and Teenage Fanclub (Here) all feature outside of the top ten.

Rough Trade hailed Iggy’s Post Pop Depression  as “a timeless work, one that sounds as if it’s always been there, has existed before any of the musicians were even born-yet imbued with the ramshackle energy of a garage band that threw itself together yesterday.”
