Pop singer Justin Timberlake will headline the Super Bowl half-time show next year, 14 years after his infamous appearance at the event alongside Janet Jackson, which saw him accidentally rip her top to expose her nipples.
The 36-year-old chart-topper announced the news on Twitter, sharing a short clip alongside US talkshow host Jimmy Fallon.
“I DO have the time. Half the time”, the former N-Sync singer captioned the clip.
The news was also confirmed by Pepsi in a follow up tweet.
The performance will take place at the US Bank Stadium, Minnesota, on February 4.
This year, the Superbowl half-time show was performed by Lady Gaga, and the event is known for being one of the most watched global events every year, with the most recent show reaching more than 150 million people worldwide.
In recent years, Coldplay, Beyonce, Madonna and Bruno Mars have all played the event.
