Nina Nesbitt joins search for next big thing

Nina Nesbitt is looking for the next… Nina Nesbitt (well, sort of).

The Edinburgh-born pop princess has joined BBC Radio One DJ Huw Stephens and producer Eric Appapoulay for Stripped Back – the competition from Fame Music to find the best acoustic artists in the country.

Having scouted talent from all over the world, with previous winners being signed by majors or scoring residencies at famous clubs, Fame Music is bringing the opportunity of a life-time to the singer/songwriters of the UK.

Stripped Back seeks to unearth the most talented acoustic artists in the country and offer them unique career opportunities.

The competition is open to all UK based singer songwriters who are looking for a new authentic way to get their music heard by the industry, increase their fanbase and media exposure.

Aspiring artists can now upload one original track and intro video to www.famemusic.com.

Public voting opens on 28 March to select the top 25 tracks that will be judged by the panel to select the top 15 entries.

Finalists will upload a second original track and Nina, Huw, Eric and the public will select the winners who will perform live at an exclusive industry and media event in London.

The winner will embark on the Coffee House Sessions London tour, performing at 10 independent coffee houses in London, with special performances by Nina herself from 16 to 20 May 2016.

The final prize also includes production of one track with Eric at Abbey Road, official video clip and international distribution.

“I have never done anything like this before so I am really excited,” says Nina. “I am looking to find someone a bit different, someone who is going to shake it up.”
