BRIT Awards 2017: Full list of winners

The 2017 Brit Awards took place night at the O2 Arena in London last night (Feb 23).

Granted, it won’t go down as one of the more controversial BRITs in recent memory, but there were still a few headline-making moments, such as Katy Perry’s  politically-charged performance in which she took aim at Theresa May and Donald Trump’s relationship.

As for the gongs, there were no major surprises on the night, with David Bowie posthumously awarded Album of the Year and Best British Male Solo Artist. A no brainer, that.

Elsewhere, Best British Female was presented to Emeli Sande, The 1975 beat off competition from the likes of Radiohead and Bastille to be crowned best British Group, and Rag’N’Bone Man, who already had the Critics Choice award, was presented with British Breakthrough Award.

Predictably, Beyonce won best International Female and Drake won Best International Male.

In what was the most touching moment of the night, Andrew Ridgeley and Pepsi & Shirlie from WHAM! fought back the tears to pay tribute to the late George Michael.

Finally, Brit Icon award winner Robbie Williams closed proceedings with a typically well-rehearsed performance.
