Ahead of next month’s visit to Edinburgh – where they will perform tracks from eagerly-awaited debut album In Memory Of – Glasgow’s Catholic Action have shared the video for new single Black & White. You can check it out below.
In Memory Of is released on Friday (Oct 20) via Modern Sky.
A vivid collection of smart guitar-pop anthems, the record is as rewarding as it is challenging and features BBC Radio 1 favourites L.U.V. and Propaganda.
The record has already garnered critical praise from the likes of DIY and Dork magazines, both of whom gave the album 4 star reviews.
The band will also celebrate the release with two Scottish in-store shows this week – at Glasgow’s Monorail on Thursday (19 Oct) and Edinburgh’s Assai Records on the day of the album’s release (20 Oct).
In Memory Of is produced by McCrory and Margo Broom.
Combining a youthful energy with an innate songwriting prowess, the album shines with a rarely seen confidence. Despite having nods toward guitar pop from the past and present, the album has its gaze truly fixed in the future.
Catholic Action are set to take their album out on tour this November alongside Nottingham upstarts Kagoule, including the aforementioned visit to Edinburgh’s Sneaky Pete’s on November 6.
