The Chainsmokers announce album details ahead of Edinburgh gig

Ahead of their visit to Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange tonight, The Chainsmokers have revealed details about their soon-to-be-released debut album.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the Grammys on Sunday night, where they won Best Dance Recording for Don’t Let Me Down, the duo revealed that their record will be called Memories: Do Not Open and will be released on April 7.

The New York duo – comprised of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart – have enjoyed a hugely successful 12 months that has seen them score their first No.1 single with the Halsey-featuring Closer.

Drew, 27, told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “We’re ready. We’ve got a full album; it’s going to be amazing. It’s coming out April 7, was I supposed to say that?”

To which 31-year-old Alex said: “No, but it’s alright.”

Drew continued: “Okay. Anyway, it’s coming out really soon. It’s called Memories: Do Not Open.”
