Edinburgh schoolboy lands role in hit show

An Edinburgh schoolboy has been chosen to play Oliver alongside some of the hottest names in show business in Tonight From The West End, which comes to The Usher Hall next month.

Edinburgh Oliver - MaxLiberton lad Max Coussins, pictured right, will perform Consider Yourself from the famous film and stage show Oliver! The talented 10-year-old will be joined on stage by an ensemble of boys from Fierce Theatre School, Edinburgh, who will make up Fagin’s gang.

The glitzy song and dance extravaganza will include classic show-stoppers from Broadway and the West End, and is sure to have audiences up on their feet.

Those in attendance can expect a medley of hits from popular shows such as The Lion King, Saturday Night Fever, Fame, Wicked, Mamma Mia and Oliver!

Young Max will share the stage at the Usher Hall with TV stars Ray Quinn, Jai McDowall and Zoe Tyler, as well as US singing sensation Christina Bianco.
