Emeli Sandé to play Edinburgh Castle this summer

Read all about it… Emeli Sandé has announced a return visit to the Capital – and this time the chart-topping Scottish singer will perform a massive outdoor concert at Edinburgh Castle on Thursday, 13 July.

Sandé, who only last week played a sell-out gig at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall, returns to this city this summer as part of her Long Live The Angels world tour.

The bequiffed singer, who was raised in Aberdeenshire before going on to study medicine at the University of Glasgow, headlined a free concert at Edinburgh Castle to celebrate the visit of the London 2012 Olympic torch.

Tickets for Sandé’s return to the iconic venue go on sale tomorrow (Friday 24 March) at 9am. Details below.

“Over the years, Edinburgh Castle has played host to many international stars such as Rod Stewart, Blondie, Elton John, The Proclaimers, Leonard Cohen, Stereophonics, Sir Tom Jones and Pink. So, its great to be introducing the award-winning Emeli Sandé to this world-renowned venue.”
