Hard Rock Edinburgh today announced the return of its hotly anticipated live music series, Late and Live, which kicks off on Friday, 2 October with a stellar line-up.
This October, Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh will provide the perfect platform for exciting Scottish breakthrough acts and rising stars to showcase their brand new music and get crowds rockin’.
The first gig is not to be missed as The Laurence Murray Project and The Rising Souls take to the stage.
Hailing from Edinburgh, The Laurence Murray Project is a four-piece band consisting of Laurence Murray (guitar & vocals & co-songwriter), Kirsty Marquis (vocals & co-songwriter), Fraser de Banzie (drums) and Dunkan Robertson (bass), whose style is described as a heady mix of blues, R’n’B, rock and soul.
They have appeared more than once on STV Edinburgh’s The Fountainbridge Show, and are set to release a 12-track album within the next few months.
The Rising Souls, pictured above, also from Edinburgh, have taken Scotland by storm in the last few years. Having received high praise following performances at the Edinburgh Festival and gigs across the UK and Europe, the band, comprising Dave Archibald (lead vocals/guitar), Tom Reed (percussion and box) and Roy ‘Kelso’ Laing (bass), peddle a winning blend of soul, funk, blues and rock.
With free entry on the night, customers will be asked to make a small donation to Hard Rock’s annual PINKTOBER campaign, which raises awareness of breast cancer, supporting and funding further research, with all proceeds going to The Caron Keating Foundation.
