Just in time for Halloween, Edinburgh’s Honeyblood have unveiled the spooktacular video for new single Sea Hearts, which is taken from their forthcoming new album Babes Never Die.
The video, which you can watch below, follows a witch as she emerges from the sea and crashes a creepy house party.
The dynamic duo of Stina Tweeddale and Cat Myers are set to release their new album on 4 November – and anticipation is sky high. It’s actually been done and dusted for ages now, but, having just come off a massive 2015 in which they toured the US with Belle And Sebastian and opened for the mighty Foo Fighters at Murrayfield, the girls wanted to take a few months off to get things just right.
“It’s still in the same style as the first record but we wanted to elaborate on that more, making it exciting to play live,” says Edinburgh-born Tweeddale. “This is the first one that Cat has actively been a part of, and it’s probably like a snapshot.
“The album itself is like a full story, all the songs are connected. It’s, I guess, a bit more aggressive than the first album but the same sort of melodic qualities which we continued. There are some surprises in there as well.
“I feel like we have made a really good record. I’m happy with it and I know that Cat is happy with it and the producer that made it, James Drake, is happy with it. And that’s all you can really ask for.”
