Jenni Falconer has been announced as the host for An Evening with Arnold Schwarzenegger, which is set to take place in Edinburgh next week.
The Scottish presenter will grill the superstar on his rise to fame, his film debut and his famous catchphrases in front of a live audience at The Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Wednesday, 20 January.
During the event, fans will be given the opportunity to hear the star talk about his legendary career and take part in a Terminator-themed charity auction (in aid of a local charity which is yet to be announced), whilst also enjoying live music.
The evening is being organised by Olexy Productions, who have previously held successful events across the UK with the likes of Sylvester Stallone, Al Pacino and Vinnie Jones. They are also set to host a similar event with Schwarzenegger in Birmingham on Thursday, 21 January.
Stephen Oleksewycz, founder of Olexy Productions, said: “We are really looking forward to another amazing sell out event. Our past events have been a huge success, and I can only thank the great people who help to organise them, and the guests, for making every night a night to remember.
“This one will be bigger and better than any we have done before. I’m proud of how far we have come – but there’s always more we can do to keep our exclusive experiences fresh and different from any other VIP dinner.”
As one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, 68-year-old Schwarzenegger has appeared in numerous blockbuster hits including Predator, Total Recall, The Running Man, Twins and True Lies. Later this year, he will take over from Donald Trump on the US version of The Apprentice.
From 2003 until 2010, Schwarzenegger served as Governor of California.
An Experience with Arnold Schwarzenegger, EICC, The Exchange, 150 Morrison Street, Edinburgh, Wednesday 20 January, 8pm, from £47, 0131-300 3000.
