Dame Joan Collins is set to bring her one-woman show to the UK this year – and the screen legend will be stopping off at Edinburgh’s Festival Theatre on September 24 during a tour of 12 towns and cities.
In a show titled Joan Collins Unscripted, the 82-year-old actress, whose career has seen her star in over 100 films and TV shows including playing infamous superbitch Alexis Carrington in Dynasty, will share more stories and secrets of her celebrated life and career as one of the world’s most glamorous and intriguing actresses.
“I so enjoyed my 10 years performing One Night With Joan all over the world that I’m delighted to be doing an entirely new show,” she says. “Each performance will be different, so if you liked me in Salford come see me in Edinburgh.”
The tour will kick off at Royal and Derngate, Northampton on September 9 and visit venues including the Lyceum Theatre, Crewe, and the London Palladium before finishing in Brighton’s Theatre Royal on October 3.
The Golden Globe winner, who last year starred as The Grand Duchess Alexandra of Oxford in TV series The Royals, and has also appeared in cult ITV show Benidorm, will also take part in Q&A sessions at each venue.
Collins is first and foremost an actress, but she is also a best-selling author whose novels and memoirs have sold more than 50 million copies worldwide and have been translated into 30 languages.
On stage, Dame Joan has performed on Broadway, the West End, and in national tours across the UK and North America.
Tickets for Joan Collins Unscripted go on sale from 9am on Friday, February 12 via websites seetickets.com or ticketmaster.co.uk
