Calibre, the Highlands-set debut feature of British filmmaker Matt Palmer, has won the top award at this year’s Edinburgh International Film Festival. EIFF announces 2017 programme

The full programme for the 71st Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) was released this morning, with a host of stars including Kevin Bacon and Oliver Stone expected to attend. Scottish filmmaker Ben Sharrock has won the prestigious Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature Film at the 70th edition of the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
