Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a f****** big television…
Or instead, choose to be an extra in the up-coming sequel to cult Edinburgh-set movie Trainspotting.
That’s right, Edinburgh nightclub Cav wants you to star alongside Renton, Begbie, Sick Boy et al in the eagerly-awaited film, and all you have to do is turn up at the Tollcross venue on Tuesday, 14 June for a chance to appear in the background of the movie.
Anyone who fancies making their big screen debut will have to turn up wearing 80s clobber, so if you really want to be in with a chance of starring as an extra in the film, you best look out those y cardigans and staypress trousers now.
Don’t go expecting a night of hedonism, though. The cameras start rolling at 4pm and there’s a strict no booze rule during filming.
According to the Cav’s Facebook event page, there will be Trainspotting-themed prizes up for grabs, as well as the chance to get selfies taken with the cast for those who show up sporting the best 80s outfits.
The venue have also warned anyone thinking of going along that they’ll pretty much own you.
“By entering the premises you grant TS2 Productions Ltd (“the Company”) the right to use your voice and likeness in any and all media in connection with promoting and exploiting the film.”
