WATCH: New Captain America: Civil War clip

Ahead of its release in UK cinemas on April 29, Robert Downey Jr and Team Iron Man appeared last night on Jimmy Kimmel and brought a new Captain America: Civil War clip along with them.

Downey Jr had co-stars Don Cheadle (War Machine), Paul Bettany (J.A.R.V.I.S) and Emily VanCamp (Sharon Carter) in tow as part of a Marvel-themed week of Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Earlier this week, actor Chris Evans revealed a minute of new footage  from Captain America: Civil War at the MTV Movie Awards.

The Marvel blockbuster opens in the US on May 6.

In the film, Evans plays Captain America, with Black Panther played by Chadwick Boseman.

The pair are joined in the movie by Downey Jr (Iron Man), Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, Paul Bettany’s The Vision and Don Cheadle’s War Machine.

Marvel’s plot synopsis for the upcoming film teases: “Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity.”

It has also been revealed that Captain America: Civil War will be Marvel’s longest movie yet, coming in at over two hours in length.
